About PPDD
The Pikes Peak Derby Dames was founded during the summer of 2005, when one woman
from Colorado Springs, Colorado decided to take on the challenge
of starting up a roller derby
league in her home town.
Founded by Slugs-N-Kisses, the league has been growing one woman at a time ever since.
PPDD is a diverse group of female athletes committed to the athletic development and
empowerment of women in the Pikes Peak region.
PPDD is not only the first flat track roller derby league in the Springs, we are the only
governing body of women's flat track roller derby. They set the standards for rules, safety,
minimum skills and other guidelines.

The
Slamazons are the "B" team, and play other league's "B" teams. They do travel for some of their bouts. "B" team bouts are not santioned nor count towards our international
ranking. The ladies that have tried out for the Slamazons have shown a higher skill level
and a strong commitment to the league and the sport itself.
Our PPDD
All Stars represent the league in sanctioned WFTDA inter-league competitions that count towards the international rankings. These ladies are playing and competing at the
highest level of gameplay.
PPDD Staff
The Dames would not be where they are without the tireless work and dedication of the many
volunteers that help us on a day to day basis. The referees, non-skating members, photographers,
EMTs and more are a huge part of our league and we can't thank them enough for all that they
do for PPDD. Click here to check out who they are and how to become a staff member yourself.
